Having cut the hole in the wall panel, apply sealant between Battery Box and outside wall in order to avoid water ingress. The Battery Box is made of polypropylene (PP), therefore it is important to ensure that the sealant** used is suitable for this material. Thetford recommends Butyl strip (without any solvent) for this purpose.
Here's the repairs on my battery box repairs on the left are caravan and motor mover supplies. The screws used to fasten the box and both hinges to the panel should be adapted to the thickness of the wall, therefore they are not supplied with the package. Before fitting the Battery Box, both hinges should be placed over the ribs in the Battery Box. When Battery Box is fitted, place metal clamping plate and strip into position.
