Abstract: In this paper, a novel voltage controller of energy storage system (ESS) in DC microgrids (DC-MG) is proposed to enhance the DC-bus voltage stability. At first, a mathematical model of the DC-MG is developed in a state-space form.

This technique effectively enforces the appropriate contributions of power sources and energy storage systems (ESSs) in steady-state situations.
In this situation, the DC bus voltage in the droop control zone is managed by two resources: the SC and battery, which improves the DC bus voltage regulation. Based on (2), this will reduce the step change in the storage current.
