3.3. Multisine signal The utilization of multisine approaches for the rapid measurement of battery impedance spectrum has garnered considerable attention and is widespread. Zappen et al. introduce a multisine method that offers exceptional time resolution for determining battery impedance ranging from 1 Hz to 1 kHz.
There are a number of methods by which impedance can be measured. This method uses a bridge circuit to calculate an unknown resistance. It requires that balance adjustment be performed using a galvanometer. Although the technique provides a high degree of accuracy (about 0.1%), it’s poorly suited to high-speed measurement.
This paper proposes an embedded measurement system capable of measuring the battery output impedance while in operation (either charging or supplying power to the intended device). The developed system generates a small amplitude stimulus that is added to the battery current.
Secondly, the present impedance determination approaches are still lacking in maturity. Currently, the majority of studies still require the use of high-precision instruments (e.g. electrochemical workstation) for the measurement of battery impedance spectrum, resulting in substantially escalated implementation expenses.
Battery impedance is often used to describe the dynamic response of a battery when subjected to an excitation signal at certain frequencies , , .
