The ACT 612 Intelligent Battery Tester is designed for testing 6V and 12V standby SLA, cyclic GEL and car FLOODED batteries. Simple in operation, the ACT 612 simulates a full 20 hour (C20) discharge test in seconds and displays the DC Voltage results and Ah capacity available.
Connect battery tester to battery terminals making good tight connections in accordance with the operating instructions. Set calibration adjustment to ‘0’ (6 O’clock) for generic C20 rated standby SLA batteries, 9 O’clock for cyclic C10 rated GEL batteries and 3 O’clock car WET (Flooded) batteries. Record battery voltage reading obtained.
Use the Calibration Control to select either standby SLA, cyclic GEL and car FLOODED battery types prior to testing. The ACT 612 will test 6V battery models between 1.2Ah and 10Ah, and 12V battery models between 1.2Ah and 100Ah.
The BITE3 battery impedance tester determines the health of lead-acid cells up to 2000 Ah by taking measurements of the most important battery parameters. The BITE3 measures cell impedance (an internal ohmic test) as well as cell voltage, intercell connection resistance, and ripple current.
During the test it is measured how much capacity (current x time expressed in Ah) the battery can deliver before the terminal voltage drops to the end of discharge voltage x number of cells. The current shall be maintained at a constant value.
