Battery level indicator will let you know the status of battery of a device just by glowing the number of LED's. For example four LED's are glowing means battery capacity is 40 percent. You can use this battery level indicator circuit with your inverter or with your car battery; it will give you indication about your battery status.
Even considering this limitation, a simple solution like this is surprisingly effective for most practical purposes. These indicators use the battery's voltage and map it out across a series of LEDs or other display elements. Each LED represents a specific charge level milestone such as 25%, 50%, 75%, and so on.

LM3914 is a monolithic integrated circuit which senses the analog voltage and derives 10 LED’s providing a linear analog display.
Most battery level indicators sidestep the complex reality of voltage curves by pretending things are simpler than they are. They operate under the assumption that the battery's voltage drops linearly with use. While this method is not perfectly accurate.
